She Who is in Labor

”Therefore Israel will be abandoned until she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of His brothers will return to the children of Israel.“

“She who is in labor” is based on Isaiah 7:14 and prophesies forward to Luke 1:31-33, Matthew 1:18, and Luke 2:7.

It ALSO is the reference for Revelation 12:1-5

In Revelation, Mary is the embodiment of the nation of Israel during the time leading up to Christ Jesus’ return to establish the Kingdom of God on the Earth from Jerusalem.

Sarah and Elizabeth are also types of “she who is in labor” in that they were past child-bearing and had “dead wombs” and then, by a supernatural intervention of God, became pregnant.

This foreshadows the nation of Israel, being regathered from the four corners of the earth since 1948 and becoming “pregnant” with the hope for Messiah. The “birth” will be when the nation of Israel as a whole (what’s left of them at the end of the ‘time of Jacob’s trouble’ – the Seventieth Week of Daniel the prophet) cries out for the Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah to save them when they all say: “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD.” Thus fulfilling Jesus’ prophecy recorded in Matthew 23:39.

”For I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.’”“ Matthew 23:39 BSB
